Volunteering to serve animals in crisis is incredibly rewarding. Whether you give an hour a month or several hours each week, there’s a place for you.
No special skills needed (but they are welcome!); training is provided. We value commitment, teamwork, and respect for animals and fellow volunteers.
To get started, fill out an application and waiver (see up above).
If you are passionate about animal welfare and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, join our team of like-minded volunteers. There are so many ways you can participate! See the list of volunteer positions down below (feel free to tell us your areas of interest on your application). You can complete an online volunteer application and waiver (required) below.

Deployment & Volunteer Training
Our Deployment Training at the Beef Barn at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center on April 19th was a HUGE success!
The turnout was terrific with PET volunteers getting a refresher on deployment work, as well as learning some new procedures.
With a potentially challenging fire season ahead, being ready to help animals in need matters more than ever.
Whether you’re new to PET or a returning volunteer, please fill out both a Volunteer Application and Waiver (see above on this page) now to ensure that we have your current contact information ahead of fire season. We will notify you of upcoming trainings and other opportunities to get involved.
